Nelion
The Watchman
Made for two — or one. The quietest corner of camp: a private deck to take the morning on, a soaking tub open to the sky, and a rainforest shower walled in nothing but timber and bush garden.
Mtalii Bush Camps Stay
Three villages — Nelion, Lenana, Batian — set among acacia gardens and lit by solar lanterns after dusk.
Each tented village is themed after Mt. Kenya’s highest peaks — Nelion, Lenana, and Batian — designed to blend authentic bush charm with luxurious comfort. Spacious safari-style suites connect you to nature and serenity.
As evening falls, the paths between tents glow softly under solar-powered lamps, lighting the way like fireflies in the dusk. At the heart of each village is a shared bonfire pit, where the magic of Mtalii truly comes alive — guests gather to share stories, laughter, roasted treats and quiet stargazing moments. A natural meeting point where strangers become friends.

The Elder
Every tent carries the same appointments — king or twin beds, an outdoor soaking tub, a rainforest shower and a private deck. What changes is the mood of the village around it.

Made for two — or one. The quietest corner of camp: a private deck to take the morning on, a soaking tub open to the sky, and a rainforest shower walled in nothing but timber and bush garden.
The Companion
Plush, canvas-wrapped interiors — a hand-dressed king bed, safari armchairs and warm lantern light, with a writing desk at the window and considered detail in every corner.
The Elder
Room to gather. Spacious suites spread across the village lawn — flagstone paths between the canvas, decks that catch the afternoon, and Mt. Kenya standing over the whole of it as the lanterns come on.
Honeymoons, proposals and anniversaries, held quietly. Tell us what you’re marking and the team will dress the tent for it — petals on the turndown, the tub drawn and waiting, a table for two set out on the lawn with the mountain in view.
Most at home in Nelion, our quietest village — though any tent can be dressed for the occasion.
